Our goal is to get you back on your feet working full-time as quickly as possible. To do so, we follow these steps:
1) Job Readiness Program
The Job Readiness Program will last 2-4 weeks and we will focus on what we call ‘hard and soft’ skills which employers are looking for. These include good communication, getting along with others, having a positive attitude, interview skills and much more. This will give you the edge against outside competition when you apply for jobs.
As soon as we think you’re ready, we send you out on job interviews. Our sales representatives have built relationships with employers so that we know where you will fit in best, and we match you with these specific jobs.
3) You Got a Job!
Once you start working, America Works continues to support you. We have case managers check in with you to make sure you are getting to work ok, help you with any problems at work, and to help you get with your other social services that you may be receiving.
4) Climbing the Ladder
Most of the jobs that our clients obtain have room for growth. We work with you to ensure that you are taking advantage of every opportunity that is given to you. This could be work training programs, taking a GED class, or other community based job training classes. The goal is to help you become a stable independent person for the long run.
